Something’s coming…

I’m back, and so are the Skull Kings (finally!)

It has been a long and glorious two months, capped off with a final week of scrambling to push out the final Skull Kings MC novella before Halloween. Its like college all over again!

It’s definitely bittersweet. Readers have said a lot of nice things about this series, but all stories must come to a happy conclusion, no?

Anyhoot, Wild Child: A Skull Kings MC Novella, is the ending we’ve all been waiting for. It’s got ACTION! It’s got DRAMA! And it all takes place in my favorite city ever. Cookies to whoever can guess which city. (Hint: I’ve written a blog post about it!).

Lisbeth Olsen’s back in Las Vegas, the city that nearly destroyed her a year ago. But now that she’s shed her gang-affiliated past, she’s free to confront her demons on her own. Or so she thinks…

When a drug dealer lets slip that someone powerful is looking for her, there’s only one person Lisbeth can turn to for help. Gabriel is a Skull King nomad with an equally shadowed past, and he can’t help but be drawn to the mysterious girl with the compass tattoo. Once he finds out she’s the sister of a fellow King, he knows he has to help.

Now, they must work together to find an old friend of Lisbeth’s, someone who has the key to solve everything. But with the discovery of a murder and possible involvement of some rogue Skull Kings, their only hope is to get to the enemy first–an enemy they can’t see–with nobody but each other to trust.

This book will be 99 cents until mid-November! Available at the following links:

Exclusive excerpt! Wild Child: A Skull Kings MC Novella

Ooh, a cover! Some of the more vigilant folks may have seen it live in action on my Amazon Author Central Page (link).

Before I disappear into the mountains for this upcoming Labor Day weekend, I thought I’d share with you the cover, title, and excerpt of the LAST and FINAL installment of my Skull Kings MC Novella series.

It’s definitely bittersweet. People have really connected to the Skull Kings and their old ladies in a way that I never expected. At the same time, I’m eager to give every one of these couples the happily-ever-after they deserve and move onto even more exciting, sexier stories.

At this point, Wild Child is near complete and will endure a couple comb-throughs before being sent out into the world. Patience. Patience, grasshopper. That last bit was mostly for me. I’m anxious to cross the finish line on this one!

So while I pound away, why don’t you scroll down below to read the rough cut of chapter 1? You’re probably wondering which Skull Princess will be featured this time, and who her knight in shining leather will be. Read on to find out! Read More…

Biker Justice B&N Link!

Finally! After literal weeks, the second Skull Kings MC novella is available on B&N. Nook readers can click this link right here to get their copy.

This title will also be 50% off on All Romance eBooks until the end of the month! All Romance readers can click here to get their discounted copy.

I’ve been furiously working on the next and final installment to this series. There’s a lot of work involved with writing a final installment. There’s loose ends. Everything has to fall together in such a way that the reader can close the book and be confident that the characters will continue to live happily ever after. So, this is the most complicated plot I’ve had to craft yet. But it will be epic. Oh, it will.

Stay tuned! In my next post, you can expect a title AND a cover AND an excerpt!

Biker Justice, Kindle Unlimited

Apologies for the absence. Lots of things have been happening. I’ve mostly been writing the third and final novella in the Skull Kings Novella series, but speaking of…

Biker Justice has been available for about two weeks, but I’m posting about it today because it will be 99 cents over the weekend! Available on:

The link for Barnes and Noble is noticeably absent. Why? I DON’T KNOW. Self-published authors are able to upload their books to the B&N store via NookPress, but just like any other website, there are technical issues that prevent successful uploading. I’m sorry about this, Nook readers! The support team has promised to address the issue soon.

But onto a different subject! Namely, to Kindle Unlimited. It’s a new service available to the US only (for now), but the simplest way to describe it is that it’s the Netflix for books. Readers can borrow from a library of enrolled books, which means they can read them for free! What does this mean for authors? Hopefully increased readership and exposure. In the past, it would be unusual for me to see even one borrow in a month. After KU was introduced, I’m getting about two borrows a day. It’s pretty exciting to see more people reading my books. The service is so new that there are questions of how it will affect authors’ royalties in the future, but in the end, it’s the readers that count the most. My perspective is that the person who borrows my book wouldn’t actually buy it if it weren’t available under KU. So, that reader gets to read a book for free, and I gain a new reader. Awesome.

Right now, you can get a month-long free trial. Hell, I have a Kindle, I might sign up on it to get in on the action!

Coming soon! A sequel to First Time Rider: the novella…

Feedback on the Skull Kings MC stories have been great! As I mentioned before, I released the first three stories as a single novella. I’m currently working on the next one in the series, and I’m discovering that this one is a bit different. Because I’m writing it as one story from the get-go rather than merging three separate ones together, the sex happens more gradually than sporadically as it did in First Time Rider. It also features two different characters as the heroine and hero. Aspen and Liam still have their fair share of the limelight of course, but they got their happily ever after!

So, in Biker Justice, we get to know Carmen, who was Aspen’s friend and former co-worker at Buddy’s Sports Bar. We know so far that she has a son and she’s a bit of a firecracker. And I know that I won’t be giving anything away by telling you she gets a Skull King of her very own. But who?

Some thoughts about mermaids

I’ve always loved mermaids. I don’t know why. They’re mysterious. They’re sexy (maybe because they’re mysterious?). And there’s something romantic about them. I think every little girl has pretended to be a mermaid in a swimming pool, has wanted mermaids to be real at some point. Hell, for a long time, I would’ve rather been a mermaid than a human girl.

So I guess through writing The Mermaid ScaleI’m finally living out that dream.

What initially inspired this story was my friend’s love life. Or lack thereof, rather. There’s nothing wrong with her. She’s beautiful, smart, funny, and SMART. She has no shortage of dates, but for some reason the guys want flings, while she wants a relationship.

Some women just seem to have more luck than others when it comes to love, but to me, my friend’s situation was very clear. She’s too cautious. Too guarded. Sure, it can be scary to let your guard down, especially if your dating life is like my friend’s…but that’s what finding love is all about. You’re supposed to feel vulnerable around that person. That’s what distinguishes that person from everyone else in your life.

I mean, I’m still not a relationship expert. But what I can do is write a story, so that’s what I did. The main character, Nicole, is based off of this friend I mentioned. Nicole’s best friend is based off of another close friend of mine, somebody who tries hard to make Nicole feel better about herself.

But all that mushiness aside, I had a ton of fun writing this story. Like I mentioned earlier, mermaids are like…my favorite thing ever. And a lot of my readers seem to agree. The Mermaid Scale is live and available for sale for 99 cents (limited time) at the following links:

Broken-hearted and fed up, Nicole agrees to an impromptu beach vacation proposed by her best friend, but she has no idea what she’s in for when she accepts a gift from a psychic at a pop-up stand. Somehow, she wakes up later in the body of Kyrie, a mermaid with a tangled past. Kyrie is everything Nicole isn’t: determined, outspoken, gorgeous, and…missing. To return to her human realm, Nicole must solve the mystery surrounding her host’s disappearance, and the only available help is Kyrie’s old lover, Nereus. Too bad he’s nursing a broken heart of his own and can barely even look at her. But when it becomes apparent that somebody wanted Kyrie gone, the two must work together to retrace Kyrie’s last moments…or Nicole may be next.

You can read an excerpt after the cut!
